Absolutely flawless balance between task management and the fear of isolation and not knowing exactly why you're doing these tasks or even who's giving you instructions. Super well, done, kind of reminded me of Iron Lung and also of Carbon Steel. Also love how the game looks, very nice aesthetic. This was overall just a really cool game with a really cool universe and concept and honestly, I'd love to see this world being expanded. Great job to everyone that worked on this!
this game is SO GOOD i cant believe its free. I dont know if there is other endings I mightve missed but wow was this interesting I cant wait for any future projects you make
the game was very good. It was very very good. the ending was a surprise and honestly completely unexpected. Very much looking forward to anything you do in the future.
and i must say that this game ending is something else i though it was cool to have this mysterious atmosphere it all made sense at the end and the game is free
The mechanics are good. The story on the other hand...
Historically, every effort to silence, oppress or punish people was and is made to protect the status quo that supports some privileges from the labour of the unprivileged... In this story, there is no reason for any kind of institution to create and mantain what is depicted in the story, it just happen because it happens, there is not much depth to it but a fake illusion of depth. I wanted to like it but...
Such a fantastic short horror game! Amazing job with the atmosphere, steadily increasing the tasks, and a great story! Awesome job and looking forward to your future games!
I really love the game's atmosphere and the overwhelming sense of uncertainty as you slowly see the walls in your workspace get more and more corroded. Keep up the great work!
Who knew that simple pieces of paper would add both narrative exposition and become a game mechanic to save you from poisonous death? Descending has the post-soviet era aesthetic like many of Mike Klubnika's games, with its art structure and blue collared worker vibe, coupled with a 'keep you on your toes' approach by ensuring the drills you're working on are functional and that the small shelter you find yourself in is safe.
There's a psychological aspect too, as you, the worker - are drip-fed fax machine notes at the start and end of every shift. In a way, these notes from 'up top' become your only source of interaction with the outside world, and you'll really start to feel like you're in a real-life Milgram experiment.
For a game that will take about 45-50 mins of your time, you should really check out Descending, as it'll certainly leave a mark long after the credits have rolled. I hope to see more from the developer, and hope this garners the success it deserves. Great twist. Great mechanics. Great game.
Great game, it keeps you in suspense, congratulations to the creators of this great game, I want the creators of this game to subscribe to my YouTube channel please, I hope this game is very successful, greetings from Spain!!
The drilling system was complicated, but it gets quite fun after you get your hands on it. The scattered notes really added to the story. Great atmosphere, great narration, 50 minutes well-spent
i'm playtester, but bitch i can still write a comment cuz the game is absolutely amazing short 40-50 min pro-horror pearl, give it a shot if you like mike clubnika, yames or david szymanski
A fun drill management game with such a great atmosphere! Loved the attention to detail. There's so many small touches that create this dark, oppressive tone that grabs your attention. Such a clever use for fax paper too! Still not entirely sure how the rpm works, towards the end I wasn't so much managing as much as I was just holding out as long as I could. That fantastic ending made the drill work well earned. Overall really enjoyed it!
