Oh, that ending!

Very nice, definitely looking forward to more from you.

Really nice and spooky experience. Love the atmosphere and the twist at the end caught me by surprise!

WOW!! really loved this game and style, did NOT expect the ending! loved!

Gameplay loop was fun, the atmosphere was lovely and the ending reveal was terrifying.

As someone starting out in indie game dev myself and very interested in story telling, this game is extremely inspiring. Thank you!

Wow, that was great! Reminds me of Mike Klubnika's short horror games. Great atmosphere, but the UI could maybe have used a font more fitting to the pixely/PS1 graphics instead of the very modern typeface.

Awesome work, I'll be looking forward to see what you'll come up with next!

If you have Steam installed (+Proton), you can

  1. Download and unzip Descending
  2. Click on "Games" in the toolbar (at the top of the client)
  3. Click "Add a non-steam game to my library"
  4. Browse for and select "Descending.exe"
  5. Navigate to the game in your library
  6. Select "Properties", then "Compatibility"
  7. Check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool"
  8. Select a Proton version (I used "Proton 9.0-4")
  9. Launch the game from steam!

You can do this for most games that doesn't have a linux port.
